Visions du Reel 2024 – The VDR Industry

The 2024 edition of Visions du Reel, a Swiss documentary film festival, launched 29 projects under its VdR-Industry section. The selection of films in various stages of production was made based on artistic potential, compelling topics and international appeal. Sixteen of the films were invited to pitch their work to film professionals during the four-day VdR-Pitching and VdR-Work in Progress forums. This year, two new cash awards have been introduced. The Eurimages Coproduction Development Awards went to Mehran Tamadon’s “The Last Days of the Hospital” directed by him (My Worst Enemy Bassidji). The Xe Award and CHF 20,000 cash was awarded to Salvatore of Lucan’s “Life of Tipu”, a story about an Irish-Bangladeshi, who finds his estranged dad through Facebook and embarks on a quest to meet him.

This is particularly useful for industries such as oil and gas where employees are scattered across the globe. A centralized portal can significantly cut down on the amount of time and money that would be devoted to physically handling documents.

When it comes to M&A in the energy sector A VDR is a must-have tool. In addition to helping to speed up the process and remain in compliance, it makes it easier to share information in a secure manner with a variety of parties. CapLinked VDRs are mobile-friendly, and come with a fully-branded user interface.
